Μηπως οι φωτιές ήταν και η 8η πληγή του Φαραώ που περίσσεψε από τη Παλαιά Διαθήκη; Ή μήπως η κατάρα της μούμιας; Και οι πλημμύρες που σχεδόν σίγουρα θα ακολουθήσουν, οι διαβρώσεις, η απώλεια εδαφών κι αυτά «θεομηνίες» θα χαρακτηριστούν;

The art of Just Doing It.

If you flirt with a girl over a long period of time, the slow, steady increase in the attention that she gives you is followed by a sharp drop-off.
Have you ever looked at men who can get any girl they want and wondered, "How do they do it?" Women are attracted to men who possess power and status. The art of distracting a woman from all your shortcomings and making her fall in love with you for who you are is called seduction. Here is a key to becoming a winner.

RIGHT PLACE,RIGHT TIME

You must arouse her temptation which then gives her an adrenaline rush. Find an appropriate time (and place) to plant one, first on her cheek and then her lips while gently stroking her neck. Fear of being caught stimulates a fight-or-flight response. Adrenaline floods her system, making everything feel much more intense.

HAVE THE DRIVE

Heading to a party is the perfect opportunity to lure her over to the driver's side - the mood is up, and you're dressed to the nines. Be subtle, gently graze. Suggest that it's proper to be fashionably late - and then halt and park. And peck her. It's like sharing a secret all night especially if you've promised each other an encore.

STRAIGHT TALK

Meeting women is easy, if you're not sidetracked by insecurity, coy games or body-language interpretation. The simplest way is lean in unexpectedly and whisper in her ear, "I just had to be near you." Be mindful of your tone. Brash: bad. Calm: good. Caress her with your voice. And when you've become friendly enough and you know you will not get a punch, then say she looks beautiful and tell her how much you want her.

TECHNOLOGY DRIVE

Send a short, suggestive note. Something as simple as, "It was amazing last night. When can I see you again?" will incite her interest for sure. If she feels the same way, she'll respond accordingly. As the tension builds, resist the temptation to pour out your soul or create a list of your top ten fantasies. And remember : Use of emoticons will ensure that you spend the night alone.

FOODIE'S DELIGHT

It's no secret that good food, wine, and conversation lead to great sex. Listen attentively to her, make eye contact, and seek out a common interest. While eating, conjure up the same sounds that accompany passion: mmm, oooh, aahh. You're creating a mood and a fantasy . Be subtle about it, however. You don't want the host to say, "Um, Jai, do you mind? We're eating.

PLEASURE POINT

Indian men know that the journey is almost always more interesting than the destination. Pleasure is linked to the gradual process of seduction, which includes courtship, touching , and kissing. Focusing on the finish misses the point. Try to bring in some passion while having sex. Conventional sex can be very limiting. This results in a larger climax for both partners.

KEY POSITION

Men pay attention to places that seem less erotic, like the inner arms, back and shoulders . Shaking up the routine leads to better times. Variety is the spice of life, use your imagination beyond the missionary, please.

KEEP IT RIGHT

Hint at what's to come: Subtly stroke her thigh or lower back during dinner; steal a lingering kiss on her bare shoulder at a crowded bar.

TIME FACTOR

Ask her out, but bear in mind the time and place. You will eventually learn what the right time is. If you flirt with a girl over a long period of time, the slow, steady increase in the attention that she gives you is followed by a sharp drop-off . This is a signal that she is sick of waiting and spites you for it.

I dream of rain
I dream of gardens in the desert sand
I wake in vain
I dream of love as time runs through my hand

I dream of fire
Those dreams that tie two hearts that will never die
And near the flames
The shadows play in the shape of the mans desire

This desert rose
Whose shadow bears the secret promise
This desert flower
No sweet perfume that would torture you more than this

And now she turns
This way she moves in the logic of all my dreams
This fire burns
I realize that nothings as it seems

Pontes de Madison.

The Bridges of Madison County is a best-selling novel by Robert James Waller which tells the story of a lonely Italian war bride who engages in an adulterous affair with a National Geographic photographer from Bellingham, Washington who has come to Madison County, Iowa in order to create a photographic essay on the covered bridges in the area. The novel is presented as a novelisation of a true story, but it is in fact entirely fiction, though some have speculated that, due to admitted similaries between the author and the main character, some elements of the novel may be slightly autobiographical.

The Bridges of Madison County was made into a 1995 film of the same name adapted by Richard LaGravenese and directed by Clint Eastwood. It stars Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

Comments & Responses.

1
I have watched it at least a hundred times it seems the older I get the more I cry Reminds me of the choices that I have made in my life the love.she is making now in this clip. Its wrong to cheat But how can someone not want that kind of love in life The feelings that 2 people have together its wonderful If you ever get that chance to have that take it Its the best love in the world but also the worst heartbreak in the end
2

this scene....I've seen it a hundred times and I still feel it ....i ahve no words. Meryl Streep is the best actress on the face of the earth/
3

THIS kind of emotional intensity I rarely get through movies. And it's all about choices. Why do people are so afraid of taking chances? it's just one life and one opportunity to be happy.
4

But would she truly be happy if she went with Robert? Sometimes it's not just what the choices mean, it's what we imagine them to mean at a place and time. That's what's making them so difficult...
5

Yes, U're right. But that's the whole point - Francesca only imagined possibilities of her possible choice. Most people do that on daily basis and I don't buy it... And nobody knows whether she would be happy. She simply didn't take that chance. I look at that movie trough my own emotions and I just know that I couldn't stand my life after such thing not knowing what IF. It just would be eating away at me.
6

That's a pthetic statement. She had no easy choice, but she took the 'correct' one. By doing this, she hurt one person. the other route was to hurt at leat another three.
7

she did have a hard decision to make, that's a fact. and if U are veryfing her choice simply by number of people she could or actually did hurt - U are right...but still - life is much more complicated than a simple mathematical equation...
8

Everyone worrys about how Streeps charactor made out but what about Eastwood's charactor. He goes through out life literally empty. In his next book, he exists up in Washington State. I repeat "exists". Never to see the one he truly loves. I think the scene in the movie where he falls to his knees and crys in her lap, wow. She just can't make the break. He gets up a walks out. There is so much pain in his heart, he can't stay. Comments anyone?
9

I do love this film. and this scene summarizes the whole point. its all about choices.

The English Patient.

The English Patient is a 1992 novel by Michael Ondaatje which deals with the gradually revealed histories of a critically burned man, his Canadian nurse, a Canadian thief, and an Indian sapper in the British Army as they live out the end of World War II in an Italian villa. The novel won the Canadian Governor General's Award and the Booker Prize for fiction. The novel has been translated into more than 300 languages.

Plot introduction.

The English Patient is in part a sequel to Ondaatje's earlier work In the Skin of a Lion (1987); the characters of Hana and Caravaggio reappear from the earlier novel. We also learn the fate of Patrick Lewis, Hana's step-father and the main character of that work, and what influence he's had on Hana's character. One of the main characters in the new novel, the burned man, is Count László de Almásy, a famous Hungarian researcher of the Sahara Desert, disciple of Herodotus, and discoverer of the Ain Doua prehistoric rock painting sites in the western Jebel Uweinat mountain.

by Lord Byron.

IV.

He comes at last in sudden loneliness,
And whence they know not, why they need not guess;
They more might marvel, when the greeting's o'er,
Not that he came, but came not long before:
No train is his beyond a single page,
Of foreign aspect, and of tender age.
Years had roll'd on, and fast they speed away
To those that wander as to those that stay;
But lack of tidings from another clime
Had lent a flagging wing to weary Time.
They see, they recognise, yet almost deem
The present dubious, or the past a dream.

He lives, nor yet is past his manhood's prime,
Though sear'd by toil, and something touch'd by time;
His faults, whate'er they were, if scarce forgot,
Might be untaught him by his varied lot;
Nor good nor ill of late were known, his name
Might yet uphold his patrimonial fame.
His soul in youth was haughty, but his sins
No more than pleasure from the stripling wins;
And such, if not yet harden'd in their course,
Might be redeem'd, nor ask a long remorse.

The Corsair

XXI

He ask'd no question-all were answer'd now By the first glance on that still, marble brow. It was enough - she died - what reck'd it how? The love of youth, the hope of better years, The source of softest wishes, tenderest fears, The only living thing he could not hate, Was reft at once - and he deserved his fate, But did not feel it less;- the good explore, For peace, those realms where guilt can never soar: The proud, the wayward - who have fix'd below Their joy, and find this earth enough for woe, Lose in that one their all - perchance a mite - But who in patience parts with all delight? Full many a stoic eye and aspect stern Mask hearts where grief hath little left to learn; And many a withering thought lies hid, not lost In smiles tha't least befit who wear them most.

XXII

By those, that deepest feel, Is ill exprest The indistinctness of the suffering breast; Where thousand thoughts begin to end in one, Which seeks from all the refuge found in none; No words suffice the secret soul to show, For Truth denies all eloquence to Woe. On Conrad's stricken soul exhaustion prest, And stupor almost lull'd it into rest; So feeble now - his mother's softness crept To those wild eyes, which like an infant's wept: It was the very weakness of his brain, Which thus confess'd without relieving pain. None saw his trickling tears - perchance if seen, That useless flood of grief had never been: Nor long they flow'd - he dried them to In helpless -hopeless - brokenness of heart: The sun goes forth, but Conrad's day is dim; And the night cometh - ne'er to pass from him. There is no darkness like the cloud of mind, On Grief's vain eye - the blindest of the blind! Which may not - dare not see but turns aside To blackest shade - nor will endure a guide!

His heart was form'd for softness - warp'd to wrong; Betray'd too early, and beguiled too long; Each feeling pure - as falls the dropping dew Within the grot - like that had harden'd too; Less clear perchance, its earthly trials pass'd, But sunk, and chill'd, and petrified at last. Yet tempests wear, and lightning cleaves the rock; If such his heart, so shatter'd it the shock. There grew one flower beneath its rugged brow, Though dark the shade - it shelter'd - saved till now. The thunder came - that bolt hath blasted both, The Granite's firmness, and the Lily' growth: The gentle plant hath left no leaf to tell Its tale, but shrunk and wither'd where it fell And of its cold protector, blacken round But shiver'd fragments on the barren ground!

'Tis morn - to venture on his lonely hour Few dare; though now Anselmo sought his tower. He was not there, nor seen along the shore; Ere night, alarm'd, their isle is traversed o'er: Another morn - another bids them seek, And shout his name till echo waxeth weak; Mount: grotto, cavern, valley search'd in vain, They find on shore a sea-boat's broken chain: Their hope revives-they follow o'er the main. 'Tis idle all - moons roll on moons away, And Conrad comes not, came not since that day: Nor trace, nor tidings of his doom declare Where lives his grief, or perish'd his despair! Long mourn'd his band whom none could mourn beside; And fair the monument they gave his bride: For him they raise not the recording stone - His death yet dubious, deeds too widely known; He left a Corsair's name to other times, Link'd with one virtue, and a thousand crimes.
