Pontes de Madison.

The Bridges of Madison County is a best-selling novel by Robert James Waller which tells the story of a lonely Italian war bride who engages in an adulterous affair with a National Geographic photographer from Bellingham, Washington who has come to Madison County, Iowa in order to create a photographic essay on the covered bridges in the area. The novel is presented as a novelisation of a true story, but it is in fact entirely fiction, though some have speculated that, due to admitted similaries between the author and the main character, some elements of the novel may be slightly autobiographical.

The Bridges of Madison County was made into a 1995 film of the same name adapted by Richard LaGravenese and directed by Clint Eastwood. It stars Eastwood and Meryl Streep.

I have watched it at least a hundred times it seems the older I get the more I cry Reminds me of the choices that I have made in my life the love.she is making now in this clip. Its wrong to cheat But how can someone not want that kind of love in life The feelings that 2 people have together its wonderful If you ever get that chance to have that take it Its the best love in the world but also the worst heartbreak in the end

THIS kind of emotional intensity I rarely get through movies. And it's all about choices. Why do people are so afraid of taking chances? it's just one life and one opportunity to be happy.

But would she truly be happy if she went with Robert? Sometimes it's not just what the choices mean, it's what we imagine them to mean at a place and time. That's what's making them so difficult...

Yes, U're right. But that's the whole point - Francesca only imagined possibilities of her possible choice. Most people do that on daily basis and I don't buy it... And nobody knows whether she would be happy. She simply didn't take that chance. I look at that movie trough my own emotions and I just know that I couldn't stand my life after such thing not knowing what IF. It just would be eating away at me.

That's a pthetic statement. She had no easy choice, but she took the 'correct' one. By doing this, she hurt one person. the other route was to hurt at leat another three.
7

she did have a hard decision to make, that's a fact. and if U are veryfing her choice simply by number of people she could or actually did hurt - U are right...but still - life is much more complicated than a simple mathematical equation...

Everyone worrys about how Streeps charactor made out but what about Eastwood's charactor. He goes through out life literally empty. In his next book, he exists up in Washington State. I repeat "exists". Never to see the one he truly loves. I think the scene in the movie where he falls to his knees and crys in her lap, wow. She just can't make the break. He gets up a walks out. There is so much pain in his heart, he can't stay. Comments anyone?

Broken Love.

‘Let us agree to give up love,
And root up the Infernal Grove;
Then shall we return and see
The worlds of happy Eternity.

‘And throughout all Eternity
I forgive you, you forgive me.

As our dear Redeemer said:
“This the Wine, and this the Bread.”’

Η ταινία μου άρεσε πολύ και για τις ερμηνείες και για την ατμόσφαιρα. It's all about choices - σωστά: μα αυτό δεν είναι εν τέλει η ζωή στο σύνολό της;
Ο Blake, χμ.... Πάλι η αιωνιότητα στη μέση. Πρέπει να το σκεφτώ.

The Sick Rose

O Rose thou art sick.
The invisible worm,
that flies in the night
in the howling storm:

Has found out thy bed
of crimson joy:
and his dark secret love
does thy life destroy.
